This formula is designed to tonify the Liver and Kidney Yin (fluids). The chief herb in this formula is Rehmanniae. It is the best herb in the Chinese pharmacology that tonifies the blood, Kidney Essence, and Liver Blood.

Radix  Rehmanniae Preparata   Tonifies the Kidneys and nourishes Essence, Yin and Blood.

Frutus Corni   Nourishes Kidney Yin and Yang, astringes Essence and Yin and stops perspiration.
 Chinese Yams
    Strengthens the Spleen , stabilizes the Kidneys and astringes Essence.
Poria     Strengthens the Spleen and drains Dampness.

Cortex Moutan   Clears Heat, cools the Blood clears and Deficiency Fire.
Rhizoma Alismatis     Promotes urination and prevents Kidney Fire as a result of tonification.

  This formula has three additional modifications

1-Mulberry leaf and Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae  is added to this formula to make it stronger in lowering hypertension.

2- Drynariae root and Japanese Teasel root for strengthening the tendons and bones

3- Pearch kernel, Red Peony, and White Peony for relieving pain and swelling.

 How to Use

 Soak the herbs in a gallon of water for 20 minutes, then boil it in the same water for 20 minutes, after that strain and drink a cup with each meal.
 

SAFETY

Use caution for those with Spleen Deficiency type diarrhea and indigestion with a white greasy tongue coat.
- Use caution in cases where diseases are predominantly caused by Dampness.
- Contraindicated for those with Yang Deficiency.
