In TCM, frequent fits of anger and irritability are caused by excessive fire in the Liver.
Excess fire in the Liver can be presented as a variety of symptoms including:
headache, red eyes, bitter taste in the mouth, irritability and short temper, hypochondriac discomfort, reddish tongue with yellowish greasy fur, wiry, rapid, and forceful pulse.
Gentiannae (Radix gentian), Rehmanniae (Radix rehmanniae), Angelica root (Dong Qui) (Radix angelicae), Licorice root (Radix glycyrrhizae).
Take 4 pills 3 times per day with or before meals.
- Contraindicated in cases of Stomach or Spleen Qi deficiency.
- Avoid oily and spicy food.
- Use with caution during pregnancy.
- Not recommended for long-term use.
- Do not take in case of fluid deficiency.
