Some Head Diseases According to TCM Part 2 ( A Hajj Series on Illnesses During Hajj)
Lice Part 2
Complete the pilgrimage and minor pilgrimage for Allah. But if prevented ˹from proceeding˺, then ˹offer˺ whatever sacrificial animals you can afford. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal reaches its destination. But if any of you is ill or has a scalp ailment ˹requiring shaving˺, then compensate either by fasting, charity, or a sacrificial offering.
Ka'b bin 'Ujrah (RAA) narrated, ‘I was carried to the Prophet (ﷺ) and the lice were falling over my face. He said, “I did not know that your disease is hurting you as much as what I see. Can you sacrifice a sheep?” I said, ‘No.’ He then said. “Fast for three days or feed six poor people, half a Sa’ each.” [Agreed upon]
Lice are considered an external invasion, affecting the skin and hair. These pests, known as lice, thrive by feeding on human blood, causing itching and discomfort. TCM views them as
In the realm of TCM, lice infestations can be attributed to a couple of key imbalances. Firstly, a Deficiency in Blood may create an environment conducive to lice, as it reflects a weakened state of overall health. This Deficiency can be due to various factors including poor diet, stress, or chronic health issues.
Secondly, an imbalance which disrupt the body's natural defense that causes these external pathogens, particularly in the Lung meridian, may also contribute to vulnerability to lice. This imbalance could manifest as weakened immune responses, making the scalp an easier target for infestation.
Another formula that is very effective in treating lice is the formula below, a two herb combination.
| Fructus Cnidii | Dries Dampness, kills parasites and stops itching topically. | ||
| Radix Stemonae | Expel parasites and kills lice. |

Cnidium Seed Stemonae Tea Decoction helps treat the above diseases.

I encourage myself and others who may be sick during Hajj [and outside of Hajj] to understand and implement the below beneficial point from our Shaykh.
Shaykh Abdur-Razaaq Al-Badr said " Zam Zam water is what it was drank for- [if your ] intention was [for being] cured, [and] some people[ intended] to drink for the intent of strengthening of the memorization{ due to their constant forgetfulness) , and by Allaah the Glorified and Most High, placed in this water tremendous blessings, but [ one must have ] along with it certainty and trust in Allaah and believe in the information [that ] the Messenger may peace and blessing be upon him[said concerning ZamZam].
....
Ibn Abbaas if he drank ZamZam water [he would supplicate with] "O Allaah indeed I ask You for beneficial knowledge , much provision, and a cure for every illness ."
